Head Coach | Mitch Wilson

Mitch Wilson is in his first season as the head coach of the Hardin-Simmons baseball program.
Wilson has spent the last five years as the head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Mary Hardin-Baylor.
During that time, he coached 15 all-ASC performers, including the ASC player of the year in 2022 and 2024. In four full seasons (the first year was the COVID-shortened season), UMHB more than doubled its wins from the previous four years 85-39. UMHB reached as high as No. 17 in the country in 2024. His teams led the conference in stolen bases each of the last three years.
As a player, he was a standout at Concordia University-Chicago. He was a four-time all-region and all-conference selection and was an All-American in 2017. He led CUC to two trips to the Division III College World Series (2017 and 2018). He was named to the all-decade team by D3baseball.com for the 2010s. He was a Gold Glove winner at second base and finished his career with a .351 batting average and as the school’s all-time hits leader.
He is a native of Oswego, Ill., and graduated from Concordia University (Chicago) with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 2018. He graduated summa cum laude.
Wilson is engaged to Justice Hayes and will get married in November 2024.
Assistant Coach | Andrew Loudermilk

Loudermilk is in his first season as the Hardin-Simmons assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
He previously served at East Texas Baptist as he was the director of operations and assisted with the pitchers and catchers. He helped the Tigers to three straight American Southwest Conference titles and the first ASC tournament title in 2023.
The 2023 ETBU team advanced to the NCAA Division III World Series. The 2024 team also advanced to the NCAA Tournament and hosted a regional. He was part of the ETBU coaching staff that was named the ASC Staff of the Year for three straight years.
He spent this past summer as the pitching coach for the Danville Dans in the prospect league.
A native of Pearland, Loudermilk played at the University of Houston-Victoria (NAIA).
Loudermilk graduated from UHV in May 2021 with a degree in business management and a degree in Human Resources. In January 2023, he earned his master’s degree in strategic communication from ETBU.
